Architectural Control and Planning
Architectural Control and Planning
Are you building or modifying a house, garage, addition or accessory building (such as a shed)? Are you installing or changing a deck, porch, patio, pool, spa, fence, gate, retaining wall or driveway? If so, your project must conform to the Riviera West Country Club's Architectural Guidelines to Building and other CC&R specifications. Review and approval from the Riviera West Architectural Control and Planning Committee (ACP) and payment of the required fee and/or deposit are needed before you proceed with your project. ACP approval is also needed prior to exterior painting, roofing, grading, cutting live trees or shrubs, or installing fuel tanks and solar panels.
Please contact the office if you have any questions prior to planning your project. The ACP members will be happy to speak with you and clarify the restrictions and guidelines.
Fees for major construction
Two sets of plans and the plan review fee must be submitted for approval. When the plans are approved, one set is retained in the office and the other is stamped approved and returned to contractor/owner to submit to the County. The performance deposit is returned only after the following have been completed:
Minor Construction
There is no plan review fee for a deck, porch, patio, pool, spa, fence or retaining wall. A request for project approval must be submitted with samples of roofing material or paint colors. Fence applications must show detailed outline of style and materials (top rails are a must for chain link or wire fences) and actual location, heights, gate type, etc.
